MCBC PRAYER ITEMS – 12/16/2021

Colossians 3:16-17   16 Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.  17 Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.

I. KINGDOM CONCERNS

SALITRAN COVENANT BIBLE CHURCH (Salitran, Dasmariñas, Cavite)

Pas. Jeremiah Jangad

Thanksgiving & Prayer requests

  1. The Lord has added 9 members to our church this month. We praise God for allowing us to witness His saving work here as a result of faithful gospel preaching.
  2. We’ve had three conferences this year – (1) Covenant Theology, (2) Protestant Reformation Conference (Ptr. Mike was one of the speakers), & (3) Biblical Marriage. All of these conferences were well-participated by sister churches and fellowships nationwide. The Lord has providentially used technology to connect us together.
  3. The Lord has kept us safe despite remarkable in-person attendance of our worship services for almost a year now. We praise God for His sustaining grace.
  4. The mission outreach in Davao under SCBC’s oversight is recently joined by an existing congregation that has embraced reformation. The merging officially took place last night, their first prayer meeting as one ministry. May the reformation work in Davao advance with these four men who are under SCBC’s direct oversight: Bro. Randy, Bro. Tim, Bro. EJ & Bro. Wyn Art.
  5. Our mission outreach in General Trias has also witnessed consistency in attendance and seriousness in applying God’s word among attenders. The ministry in Kuwait is thriving, as well. May more OFW be reached by the gospel there. Please pray for genuine conversion in these mission outreaches.
  6. The Lord has indeed granted numerical growth as a result of proactive and consistent evangelism (online and in-person). May the Lord continue to make us humble and faithful in ministering to these precious souls that the Lord has added to our congregation.
  7. Pray for our men who are now being equipped to do the work of the ministry through our regular TMCs. May the Lord continue to use these brothers in witnessing to sinners for Christ.
  8. Personal prayer request for my ailing parents in Mindanao.

She has been a faithful member of our church since its inception in 1999. Pray also for the strength of her husband Omar and 13-year-old son Julio as they face this difficult trial.

6. Pray that the Elders of SGCC will be filled with wisdom and strength in performing their pastoral duties such as preaching, teaching, overseeing, and addressing some pressing needs in the church.
