MCBC PRAYER ITEMS 10/20/22

2 Thessalonians 3:1-2Finally, brethren, pray for us that the word of the Lord will spread rapidly and be glorified, just as it did also with you; and that we will be rescued from perverse and evil men; for not all have faith.”

Lesson: The church should pray for the success of the gospel and the preservation of gospel ministers.

I. KINGDOM CONCERNS

GRACE BAPTIST CHURCH – Los Baños | Pas. Noel Espinosa

News and Thanksgiving

  1. We had the joyful occasion of ordaining three men into the diaconate last Aug 21. We now have six men constituting our diaconate. Since then, the officers have had fruitful output in our weekly meetings. We are thankful to the Lord for these added deacons.
  2. We baptized a young male student last Sep 11. Julian Pamintuan is 21 years old. He was converted through knowing the gospel as he continuously attended our Church – from the time that it was online until it is now in assembly. We thank the Lord for this addition to our membership.
  3. We had separate special webinar meetings for the brothers (Brotherhood) and the sisters (Sisterhood) in our Church. The webinars addressed topics that were meant to enhance the use of gifts of the members in their own roles in the Church. Pray that every brother and sister in the Church will be a productive part of the upbuilding of the body.

Prayer Requests

  1. The Reformed Campus Ministry (RCM) has resumed upon the opening of the UPLB school term. We have been addressing in the weekly webinar issues that will help the students adjust to the new normal of studying in blended modes of face-to-face and online. Pray that we could reach out to many students through this ministry.
  2. Continue praying for the conversion of those who hear the gospel in the service (online and assembly). May the Word already implanted generate conversion. Pray for Joel Malinao, the only unconverted member in a family of church members.
  3. Our Prison Ministry is sustaining its virtual Bible Study every other week. New members, encouraged by the blessing of the ministry, have joined its virtual BS every other Saturday. Pray for conversion.
  4. Our Holding d’ Rope ministry is actively supporting a number of students of GMA financially. The ministry is blessed with resources that we could use to help those studying for the ministry.
  5. Pray that the Lord will sustain the health of Pastor NAE as he continues to work in the office every day. He is teaching in the formal classes of GMA and also in the informal Friday Evening classes. Pray for strength and wisdom.
  6. Pray for our missionary, Mark Acsay and his family in Thailand. Pray that their health may be sustained.  Pray for a fruitful ministry in Ratchaburi where he leads a small congregation.
  7. We are working on a new output for our publication ministry, GBC Pulpit. We plan to print evangelistic messages, and another one for a souvenir issue on our anniversary which will be in November.
  8. Pastor NAE has just gone past lecture #120 in his long Sunday School series on “Christian Holiness.” There are a few more to address. The discussion on the lessons is proving very fruitful. Pray that this may not just be a lesson to learn, but a challenge to live a holy life.

SCRIPTURE ALONE BAPTIST CHURCH OF SAN SIMON – Pampanga | Pas. Ramen Caliwag

News and Thanksgiving

  1. We praise God for the triumph of grace and the biblical process of discipline as we will restore a member into good standing in our church membership. May the Lord use this to remind us to trust the wisdom and power of God’s Word in church matters.

Prayer Requests

  1. SABC Covenant Community – Pray that as we see the blessings of the Lord in our ministry, we will remain dependent and faithful to the Lord and His Word. May there be holiness and contentment among the membership and may our office bearers continue to progress in following the ways of the Lord.
  2. Reformed Bible Study PH – Pray that our online ministry will be sustained by the Lord, esp. its resident teacher (Pastor Ramen), and will continue to fulfill its task of spreading the liberating truths of the Reformation to new Reforming Christians in and out of our church.
  3. Additional Office bearers – Pray that the Lord will raise in our midst men who can be additional elder and deacons to serve the needs of our church. May the Lord prepare the church for this good and biblical endeavor.
