MCBC PRAYER ITEMS (January 4, 2024) 

Meditation: Lamentations 3:2-24

I. KINGDOM CONCERNS   

1. TAGUM CITY REFORMED BAPTIST CHURCH

Thanksgiving

  1. God’s special presence in our stated gatherings in 2023 
  1. For many opportunities in the preaching of the gospel in 2023.  
  1. God’s faithfulness in preserving the unity, harmony, and peace of every member of the church.  
  1. God’s faithful raising of faithful and able men in the ministry of the word.   
  1. God’s preservation to some brethren who were involved in a recent accident. 
  1. 2 attendees of our membership class (Necole & Nanding)
  1. Regular visitors who attend the services. 

Prayer Requests 

  1. God’s abiding presence this year
  1. More open doors for the gospel and preaching
  1. Success of the Prayer and Feasting fellowship  (Feb 22-23)
  1. Wisdom, good health and function for the speakers ( P. Joey, Rene, Rodel) 
  1. Continuous unity, love, and peace among the brethren.
  1. For the men’s continual growth in maturity and usefulness for the work of the kingdom. 
  1. Pastors’ conference this July, Lord willing
  1. Salvation of visitors and bible study attendees 
  1. TRBC is to be used in helping other sister churches.

2. KAPULUAN COMMUNITY BIBLE FELLOWSHIP

Thanksgiving

Successful year-end thanksgiving and fellowship as invited family and friends were able to hear the gospel.

Prayer Requests

  1. Covenanting of the fellowship. On-going teaching on the duties and responsibilities of members. Lord willing initial interviews will begin this Saturday. Pray for God’s wisdom and guidance.
  1. Please pray for new attendees who are attending regularly in their attendance and understanding of the gospel.
  1. Sunday School classes ( On progressive sanctification) and Lord’s Day sermon preparation.
  1. God-centered and edifying Lord’s Day worship.
  1. Health of Bro Nick’s baby who has some sort of palsy with her left arm (hindi mai-angat/galaw)
  1. ALIJIS COMMUNITY BIBLE FELLOWSHIP

Bro Arman Rutor

  1. Thanksgiving for God’s continued help and presence in the ministry, especially in worship services. 
  1. Continuous bible study opportunities and tracts distributions especially within the community.
  1. God’s help in the ministry and labors in the word.
  1. Fellowship with other churches/mission work.
  1. The prospect of conducting a DVBS
  1. Health and provision

  1. God’s sustaining grace in the young life of the church amidst all trials, challenges, and struggles.
  2. Growth of the members both numerically and spiritually.

  4. Ministries (bible studies, cottage prayer meetings, evangelistic endeavors, etc.)

  1. God’s presence and guidance to the church.
  2. Growth in knowledge, conviction, peace, and harmony, holiness of the church. 
  3. Wisdom and guidance to Pas Archie in his leadership
  4. Provision for members and the church
  5. Steadfastness in the word, especially with relevance to church life and worship.
  6. Salvation of family and attenders.

  • Thanksgiving for the spiritual blessings, esp the preaching last years, pray for grace to apply them for my growth and maturity. 
  • Growth in love for God and his word, the brethren, loved ones, and the lost.

  • Growth in edification of the brethren and gospel endeavors
  • Salvation of loved ones

  • Grateful for the years, mercy, and grace I keep receiving
  • I ask to grow more in the fruits of the Holy Spirit, and to cling more to Jesus only when trials and depression come.
