MCBC PRAYER ITEMS – 02/02/2023

Ephesians 6:18-20 18 With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints, 19 and pray on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

I. KINGDOM CONCERNS

1. CUBAO REFORMED BAPTIST CHURCH

Pastor Mon Macapagal| Pas Ismael Montejo| Pas Joseph Mangahas

News and thanksgiving

  1. We praise God for having us go through another year of much blessings from his hands.
  2. We have had close to 40 addition last year and we can’t thank God enough for such a blessing. Yet the demand of shepherding is increasing. Please pray for the elders that they may find ways to attend to the spiritual needs of the members.
  3. We are specifically thankful for the influx of young adults who are very zealous in our ministries in the church. Various ministries have been revived like the Media Team being led by deacon Aldwin, the singles’ fellowship, evangelism ministry, and Sunday school ministry.
  4. Yet is sad that we had to ex-communicate 3 members and suspended another two. Please pray that they may truly find repentance in their hearts,
  5. The last Saturday of January will be our annual members’ meeting. Please pray for unity of mind and wisdom in all our plans for this year.
  6. We also thank God for the opportunity of Pastor Mon to minister God’s word in Canada. Ptr. Mon and Bekha went to Canada to attend to the funeral of his father but was also an opportunity to minister God’s word and give report on the work of CRBC.

Petitions

  1. One of our big concerns is the upcoming Annual Pastors’ Conference. This will be held on 7-9 Feb. This will be the first face-to- face meeting after two years due to the pandemic. The fee is a bit high due to a book we purchased to give out and the limiting of participants to only 250 persons. Please pray for the timely arrival of books from Banner of Truth to be given away at the conference. Please pray also for the speakers and their messages that Christ will truly be exalted in pastoral ministry.
  2. Pray also for our singles as they seek to organize the Singles’ Camp this year. May the Lord use this for the edification and sanctification for the participants.
  3. We are also planning to have our own church retreat during the Holy week. This is a big clamor among members who missed out time together renewing spiritual ties.
  4.  Please for comfort to members whose loved ones passed away very recently.
  5. Please pray for several of our members who are going through trials caused by illnesses.
  6. Please pray for our outreach in Surallah, Sputh Cotobato. They already began holding services. Pray brother Edgar, the coordinator for the work that he be given wisdom in looking after the work.
  7. Please pray also for our church planting work in Montalban. We have sent our missionary Raymond Medoza to this work. This work is in cooperation of a Reformed Baptist in Jedah, Saudi Arabia. Please pray that the Lord would prosper this work and become a covenanted church.
  8. Please pray for our Prison ministry being handled by brother Jesse Torres. With the help of some men in the church, they visit jails to preach the gospel. This work is also in cooperation of the church in Jedah.
