Grace Covenant Baptist Church – Iligan (Pas Gery Regencia)

We covet your prayers on our behalf on the following concerns:

  1. Worship– May we know of the Lord’s Presence in our midst and that our drawing near to Him in worship would be delightful and well-pleasing to Him.
  • The Spirit’s work of saving the lost and transforming our lives to become conformed to the Lord Jesus Christ may continue, may become more and more evident—thirst for holiness increases and grief of our sins deepens, and our longing for God grows.
  • Evangelism– pray that we would all be passionate to exalt the Lord Jesus in proclaiming the gospel. May we also have an increasing burden for the lost and to seek for their salvation.  Pray for the ongoing bible studies during the week that this will bear fruit in the conversion of hearers.
  • CDO Outreach– Plans are being discussed to resume the public meeting on the Lord’s Day. Pray that the Lord will cause the work to prosper and bring back our contacts.
  • Applicants for Church Membership– we have three applicants for membership. Rei, Vince and Carmela. I have separate meetings with each one of them to discuss church membership and its commitment.
  • Preaching and Teaching of God’s Word –In our SS-the Doctrine of Calvinism, in our morning Worship- Hebrews 11, in the evening service–studies in the gospel of Luke and the book of Isaiah. Pray that the Lord will own the preaching of his word to our edification.
  • Church Ministries–Men’s study on theology has continued since we started in 2021 on Theological Studies on the Application of Salvation and Women’s Fellowship.
  • Church Leadership: Pray for our pastor and our two Deacons (Boy and Jong) as they seek to serve the Lord by leading and serving the church. Pray that the Lord would add to our eldership. Pray also that the Lord will be pleased to grant the addition of pastor-teachers in our church.
  • Church Building Improvement: In particular, pray for wisdom on the part of brethren (Manny, Doming and sister Malou) who are meeting with an architect to come up with a comprehensive plan for the future improvement of our church building.
  1. Conversion of our children. Sunday afternoon bible study with our young people continues. Pray that the Lord will use the study of the Ten Commandments with brother Mikoo and the study of the life of Daniel with brother Junie as a means to the conversion of our young people.
